1. DEFINITIONS - E-LEARNING/WEBINAR

  • Blended Learning -– A training program consisting of a combination of two or more classes conducted in two or three of the following formats: in person class, live virtual class, and access to on-demand resources through the LMS platform.
  • Duration - Shown in hours/days. For live online and in person courses hours denotes the number of hours in attendance required to complete the class. For on-demand classes, hours denote the estimated time to complete the training, including time allocated for competing the quizzes between sections. Days denotes the number of days required to conduct a live (virtual or in-person) class.
  • In- Person -– A training session, held either in a classroom format or in the shop, as a hands-on class, in which the participants and the instructor meet face-to-face. In person training programs can be exclusively organized for one customer at a time or can be open enrollment format, in which personnel from multiple customers participate in the same training program at one time. Such classes can be held either at the customer’s site or at Hydro’s Service Center as agreed upon on a case-by-case basis.
  • LMS (Learning Management System) – A Hydro Oonline portal where virtual classes are hosted. Reporting tools are available for managers of cohorts of learners to assess progress.
  • Live Virtual -– A class conducted live, online through a video conferencing platform such as Teams or Zoom by Hydro’s instructors or a training partner.
  • Minimum Attendance – Eight minimum required attendees to conduct event
  • Office Hours -– A live session, online, open to questions and discussions regarding the class materials, in which students meet an instructor. Such sessions are conducted through Teams or Zoom.
  • On-Demand - Pre-recorded class hosted on Hydro’s LMS platform. 30-day access after registration.

ON-DEMAND CLASSES

  • How do I access my course materials?
    • Visit Hydro University's website https://external.university.hydroinc.com/catalog/index
    • Click on the "Sign up Or Log in" link.
    • Once you're in the Customer Portal, log in using your credentials. If you haven't created an account yet, you'll need to register for one before you can access your courses.
  • I missed my classes or didn't have enough time to finish them within the time limit. Can I get an extension?
  • My company would like to take a class as a group. Is this possible?
    • Yes! For group rebates or access periods longer than shown below please contact the Hydro University team directly.


TECHNICAL SUPPORT

  • What are the minimum computer specifications needed to access the LMS?
    • There are no stringent hardware requirements for the device used to access classes online. A computer with a reliable internet connection capable of displaying regular web sites and playing videos should suffice. An updated web browser (like Chrome, Firefox, or Safari) and current operating system are essential. You can find a detailed list of recommended specifications on the LMS login page.
  • Do I need any special software to use the LMS?
    • No, the LMS is web-based and accessible through any standard web browser. You may need a PDF reader to view some course materials, but most documents are accessible within the platform.
  • What internet speed is recommended for optimal LMS performance?
    • A stable and high-speed internet connection is crucial for smooth LMS use. While the minimum bandwidth can vary depending on content types, a download speed of at least 10 Mbps is recommended for a good user experience, especially when accessing videos or downloading large files.
  • I'm having trouble logging in to the LMS. What should I do?

  • I'm experiencing technical difficulties while using the LMS (e.g., slow loading times, error messages). Who should I contact?

  • Can I access the LMS from my mobile device?
    • Yes, the LMS is mobile-friendly and can be accessed through most web browsers on smartphones and tablets. However, some features might have a slightly different layout compared to the desktop version.


Payment Processes - Payments, Refunds, and More.

  • How does Hydro University collect payment?
    • Hydro University utilizes PayPal for course payments. Prospective students are able to pay through Paypal checkout.
  • What if I don't have a PayPal account?
    • PayPal checkout does not need an account! After clicking "check out" for a course, scroll down and opt for "Credit/Debit Card" check out instead.
  • What if I want to pay for a group under a company card?
    • Please reach out to Hydro University and a member of the team will create an invoice for all users you are paying for. You will need to supply at the time a list of all users (their full names and emails) along with the course you are paying for. Users will then be added to the courses after the invoice has been paid.
  • Can I pay for my course with a purchase order?
    • Yes! We accept purchase orders from businesses and organizations with approved credit accounts.
