A History that Matters
Hydro, Inc. was founded in 1969 when a small group of pump engineers opened a service center in Chicago with a simple but powerful philosophy: every repair is an opportunity for improvement. From this modest beginning, Hydro expanded steadily, becoming the world's largest independent pump rebuilder with a global network of service centers.
By the mid-1980s, Hydro recognized that its independence from any single manufacturer—and its commitment to solving real-world problems in the aftermarket—gave the company a unique advantage. Working across a wide range of OEMs and pump designs, Hydro developed a vast centralized knowledge base that connected engineering principles with field performance.
Driven by a commitment to support customers across the full life cycle of their equipment, Hydro continued to invest in advanced services, new technologies, and resources. What began as a single Chicago shop has evolved into a global total solutions provider.
